Membership criteria

All ATAC members must meet pre-determined requirements deemed necessary to protect the reputation and integrity of the group. ATAC membership is highly sought after, and the ATAC brand is synonymous with professionalism, experience and a high level of service.

Membership is available to agents who meet the following criteria:

Accreditation

Membership is open to IATA or DAPA accredited agents and to high performing, well established licensed non-accredited agents.

Business qualifications

Members are able to demonstrate the appropriate travel and financial management skills.

Loyalty

Members are expected to utilise the services of airlines, consolidators, wholesalers and insurers with preferred relationships with ATAC. Members cannot be part of any other travel industry buying and/or franchise group.

Training

Training is not compulsory but all members are encouraged to participate and enrol their staff. Training sessions are available in major cities around Australia.

Confidentiality

Members are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all ATAC preferred partner agreements and incentive arrangements.

Joining

New members purchase one thousand $1 shares in the co-operative, and membership becomes effective on receipt of shareholding fees. The shares are fully refundable should a member elect to leave the co-operative, for any reason.

Agency sale

Membership of ATAC does not automatically pass on to a new owner with the sale of an agency. Shareholding fees are refunded and the new owners must re-apply for membership.

Annual fees

There are no annual fees or marketing contributions required.
